Splitting of the Landau Levels by Magnetic Perturbations and Anderson Transition in 2d-random Magnetic Media

چکیده
In this note we consider a Landau Hamiltonian perturbed by a random magnetic potential of Anderson type. For a given number of bands, we prove the existence of both strongly localized states at the edges of the spectrum and dynamical delocalization near the center of the bands in the sense that wave packets travel at least at a given minimum speed. We provide explicit examples of magnetic perturbations that split the Landau levels into full intervals of spectrum. Dedicated to the memory of Pierre Duclos (1948 2010)

New Dynamic Balancing System Based on Magnetic Interaction and Software Removal of some Perturbations
The purpose of this paper is to present a new type of dynamic balancing system, having a driving solution of the rotating part based on magnetic interactions. The magnetic system also plays the role of an elastic bearing. In the first part of the article is presented the technical solution which allows the dynamic balancing evaluation depending on the radial displacement between two disks with ...
متن کاملSplitting of the zero-energy Landau level and universal dissipative conductivity at critical points in disordered graphene.
We report on robust features of the longitudinal conductivity (σ(xx)) of the graphene zero-energy Landau level in the presence of disorder and varying magnetic fields. By mixing an Anderson disorder potential with a low density of sublattice impurities, the transition from metallic to insulating states is theoretically explored as a function of Landau-level splitting, using highly efficient rea...
متن کاملThe Fate of the Landau Levels under Perturbations of Constant Sign
We show that the Landau levels cease to be eigenvalues if we perturb the 2D Schrödinger operator with constant magnetic field, by bounded electric potentials of fixed sign. We also show that, if the perturbation is not of fixed sign, then any Landau level may be an eigenvalue of the perturbed problem. AMS 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 35J10, 81Q10, 35P20

In the frame work of relativistic density functional theory, using full potential local orbital band structure scheme (FPLO), the magnetic properties of single 3d transition metals (3d-TM) adsorbed on 2D hexagonal boron nitride (2D h-BN) are investigated. Binding energies between 3d-TM adatoms and 2D h-BN in three different compositions, local spin magnetic moments of 3d-TM and total spin magne...
